Frans Leenheer is a Dutch comic artist and writer, who has worked extensively in cooperation with Jeroen Steehouwer. Leenheer contributed to small press comic magazines like Coyote in the 1980s and for a short while, he was a member of Studio Arnhem. In the 1990s, he worked in cooperation with Jaap Stavenuiter and Jeroen Steehouwer on comics for the Funny Farm magazine Razzafrazz, and on scripts for Disney stories for Donald Duck magazine. He also inked some 'Donald Duck' stories by Mau Heymans.
Leenheer and Steehouwer also cooperated on 'Pelle' in Suske en Wiske Weekblad (scripts Willem Ritstier) and on the graphic novel 'Het Leven van Stepan Kasatsky', that was published on Steehouwer's website. The duo currently work through their Rotterdam-based Studio Steehouwer & Leenheer. Besides commercial assignments, they work on comics like 'Hilary King' and 'Veertigers' for Eppo, new Disney stories for Donald Duck, and the webcomic 'Puppy'.
