Jonathan Lemon is a cartoonist, illustrator and animator based in San Francisco's Mission District. He was born in 1965 in Watford, England and gained a degree in Visual and Performing Arts from the University of Brighton. He initially was a stand-up comedian and musician in England before moving to San Francisco in 1992.
His art has appeared on numerous posters, CD covers, magazines, advertisements and software. His editorial cartoons have appeared in the Boston Globe, the San Francisco Examiner and San Francisco Bay Guardian. He drew the comic strip 'Bigshot' for Film/Tape World magazine from 1996 to 2001. He has also contributed work to Poot!, Yowza Comic, Puppy Love, and ZigZag Magazine. Lemon's comic strip 'Rabbits Against Magic' runs through Universal Uclick on Gocomics.com since 2008. In January 2019, Lemon succeeded Jack Bender as the artist behind the classic caveman comic series 'Alley Oop', while Joey Alison Sayers.wrote scripts.
