'La Nota del Jazz' (2015).

Oscar Martínez Serrano is a Spanish comic artist and inker. After the release of his graphic novel debut 'La Nota del Jazz' (2015), he began working for Studio Comicup as an inker and pencil artist of Disney comics. He should not be confused with the Texas fine artist Oscar Martínez (b. 1974).

Early life and career
Oscar Martínez Serrano was born in Barcelona in 1987. Between 2011 and 2014, he studied at the Escola Joso comic art school. Afterwards, he began working as a comic artist, contributing to fanzines like Licor del Mono and ¡Hey!, while also giving workshops in cartooning. He regularly participated in the Cómics a Cornellà contest, winning the 2015 prize for "Best Story in Catalan". In 2015, Martínez also released his debut graphic novel 'La Nota del Jazz' with publisher De Ponent, telling the coming-of-age story of Owen, a young saxophonist from New Orleans.

Comicup
In 2016, Martínez began working for Comicup, a Barcelona-based studio that works for several European publishers of Disney magazines. Initially, he was hired as an inker, working mainly on stories penciled by Carmen Pérez and Tony Fernández. Since 2020, he has also been doing his own pencil art for the Dutch Donald Duck weekly, drawing stories with Disney's 'The Lion King', 'Scamp', 'Panchito', 'Joe Carioca', 'The Big Bad Wolf' and 'The Little Mermaid'.
