Liane Morrissette studied art at Dawson College, Montreal, and began making self-published comics in her first year, 1998. She has especially earned fame for her 'Zeitgeist the Canary' comics, about the amusing observations of a little canary. In 2000, Liane Morrisette moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she completed her studies in Fine Arts at the Nova Scotia College for Art and Design. Together with Marc Bell, she made a weekly strip in Halifax's periodical, The Coast.
