Jukka Murtosaari was a Finnish comic book artist and illustrator, who has worked on comics in a variety of genres, from funny animal to adventure. Born in Helsinki, he studied commercial art and started making comics professionally in 1979. With writer Kari Vaijärven, he made the newspaper comic 'Jake' (1985-1988), of which two books were published in 1987 and 1988. He moved to the USA in 1989 to work on the Finnish feature length animated film 'Sindbad' for Franck Films. By 1990, he was hired by Disney as a cover artist for comic books like DuckTales, Roger Rabbit and Uncle Scrooge.
