Sam & Sam
Rob Phielix is a Dutch comic artist and illustrator. He has occasionally illustrated Disney comics for the Dutch Donald Duck weekly in the 1980s and 1990s. He cooperated with Willem Ritstier on 'Quint en Co' in Suske en Wiske Weekblad, 'Wiebel' in De Stripper and the puzzle comic 'Sam & Sam' in Samsam, a monthly about children in development countries. In 2001, 'Sam & Sam' was continued by Carry Brugman after about 27 episodes.
Jan, Jans en de Kinderen
Phielix was a member of Studio Jan Kruis, that produces 'Jan, Jans en de Kinderen' for Libelle. He joined the studio at the start in 1999, and became its art supervisor after Daan Jippes left in 2000. When the studio closed down in 2007, Phielix continued to work on the comic on a freelance base through Studio Lijnlust. Together with Michiel van de Vijver, he makes the comics 'Neef Leo' and 'Dolfje Weerwolfje' for Dolfje Weerwolfje Magazine.
