Jules Prud'homme studied plastic arts and graphic design, and began his comics career in 1974-75. He made his debut in Mainmise and the newspaper supplement Perspectives. He co-launched Cocktail in 1981, of which six issues appeared. He began an enduring collaboration with the magazine Croc in 1982. He drew comics, illustrations and covers, and created 'La Soeur Violente' with writer Rémy Simard. He was also present in the short-lived magazine Titanic, for which he drew 'Xavier, Chronique des Années Dures' with writer Sylvie Pilon. This series was continued in Croc after the discontinuation of Titanic. With Pilon, he also took on new series like 'Vie Moderne', which ran until 1995. He is nowadays mainly active as an illustrator and animator.
