Alex & Sara, by Miquel Pujol

The Catalan artist Miquel Pujol attended the Art Academy of Barcelona and began his career illustrating children's books in the mid-1970s. He also drew 'Los Tempranillos' in Strong (1971).

Pujol was a versatile artist for the European Disney publications. Since the late 1970s, he has collaborated with the Danish Disney publisher Egmont, producing 'Goofy' and 'Mickey Mouse' stories. A member of the Recreo studios (1977-85), he also drew 'Duck' stories for Mondadori in Italy, as well as a variety of long 'Uncle Scrooge' stories for the German publisher Ehapa.

He then joined the Comicup studios (1985-95), where he served as art director and where he was producing material for the French Le Journal de Mickey, but also the Italian Topolino. In Le Journal de Mickey, he drew on the 007 parody 'James Ding Triple Zéro', starring 'Goofy'. Pujol is head of the Acció studios, founded in 1989, where he works in animation and comics. In 2002, he contributed 'Álex & Sara' to the Catalan magazine El Cómic, initiated by Joan Espinach.
