André Roche has been a free-lance illustrator since 1975. He was born in France, and settled in Munich in 1970. He has done art for (mainly German) clients such as Ferrero, Daimler Benz, BMW, Philips, Texas Instruments, Bastei Verlag, ZDF and Haribo.
As a comic artist, he drew about 160 stories with 'Maja the Bee' and lots with other TV-heroes like 'Nils Holgersson', 'Tao Tao', 'Tom & Jerry' and 'Pink Panther', since he was the authorized artist for these characters in the German speaking countries for a couple of years.
Other credits Roche drew include 'Wickie the Wiking' and 'Alice in Wonderland' before he started to work for Ferrero's Kinder Surprise. At first he adapted known series for their toys and then he created a lot of own series like the 'Happy Hippos', for which he drew a couple of mini-comics, and 'Top Ten Teddies'.
