Paul Salomone was born in Morlaix, in the Finistère department of Brittany. He grew up up without cars or telephones as the son of an painter and sculptor father. By 2000 he moved to Nîmes to study Applied Arts. After some efforts to become a professional sports player, his artistic ambitions eventually got the upper hand. He participated in the European Comics Fair of Nîmes, where his talent was noticed by Albert Uderzo. He teamed up with writer Wilfrid Lupano to create the humorous spaghetti western 'L'homme qui n'aimait pas les armes à feu', that is published by Delcourt since 2011.
