comic art by Jan Solheim (2001)

Born in Copenhagen, Jan Solheim followed comic courses by Mårdøn Smet, Teddy H. Kristiansen and Peter Kielland from 1987 to 1990. During this period, he also went to work at the Pinligt Selskab studios under the guindance of Smet, and from 1990 als a full member. In the early 1990s, he assisted Mårdøn Smet and Teddy Kristiansen on several advertising and illustration jobs.

He left the studios in 1994 and began to teach comics classes. Throughout the 1990s, he has been working with illustrations for educational books, magazines, commercials, storyboards, layouts, posing and designs. He has also self-published several comics, and contributed to anthologies and educational books.
