A. Sorel was a French artist and illustrator, who drew for Albert Robida's magazine La Caricature in the 1880s and 1890s. He was specialized in picture stories with silhouettes, for which he regularly drew inspiration from pictures stories previously published in German magazine Fliegende Blätter.
