Rick Stromoski was born in a family of twelve in Edison, New Jersey, and later moved to the Los Angeles area, eventually setting in Connecticut in 1989. He became a self-taught comic artist and illustrator, and his work has appeared in several books, magazines, licensed products, greeting cards and advertisements. Stromoski has illustrated books for publishers like MacMillan, Workman and Random House. He is the creator of the daily comic strip 'Soup to Nutz', through the Newspaper Enterprise Association since March 2000. Stromoski has also created 'The Mullets' with Steve McGarry. He was elected president of the National Cartoonists Society in 2005.
