Beep Beep (webcomic)

Brecht Vandenbroucke is a Belgian artist living in Antwerp, Belgium. He studied Illustration at the St-Lucas Art School in Ghent, and makes comics, paintings, drawings, zines, sculptures and short movies. He regularly makes drawings for De Morgen, and he has contributed to international magazines and anthologies like Zone 5300, Le Petit Néant, Kuti and the Latvian anthology KUS!. He also has his work published through Nobrow Press in England, while Bries has published his first Belgian comic book, 'White Cube', in early 2013.

Other publications he has made illustrations for are Vice, Rekto Verso, the New York Times, Humo, De Standaard and Kwintessens. He calls his influences Mark Beyer, ATAK, Charlotte Solomon, Topor, Henry Darger, David Shrigley, Daisuke Ichiba and Glen Baxter. His larger paintings are a colorful mix of pop references, characters and animals, with themes varying from the apocalypse to everyday life.
