Jim Whiting is an American cartoonist and illustrator. He has published his cartoons in publications like The Saturday Evening Post, Collier's, LOOK magazine, and over 75 other magazines. He has worked for an advertising agency in New York City, and has created countless illustrations for books, magazines and presentations. Through General Features, Whiting has produced the cartoon feature 'Ad Libs' with Len Bruh (1957-1972), and he succeeded Mell Lazarus on 'Li'l Ones' (1966-74) and 'Wee Women (1964-74). Another creation by Jim Whiting is 'Vincent the Magician', that ran in the publication of The International Brotherhood of Magicians. Whiting also made illustrations for manuals, corporate newsletters and trade publications.
During the final 15 years of his life, Whiting lived with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He died in 2015 at age 88.
