Rhys Williams was active in the Australian comic book industry in the 1940s. His art appeared in the titles published by Frank Johnson Publications, alongside that of artists like Unk White, Stanley Pitt, Carl Lyon and Emile Mercier. He contributed to Gem Comics and Star Pocket Comics, that mostly contained action and adventure stories, and to one-shot comic books with adventurous titles like Big Hit, Bullet, Bumper, Champion, Colossal, Conquer, Crash, Danger, Dynamite, etc.
