Jorge Zentner studied journalism and psychology and started his career working as a reporter in Argentina. In 1977, he had to flee his home country, and lived successively in Israel, Spain and France. In 1979 he met Carlos Sampayo, and began his career as a comic writer. Two years later, he started a fruitful collaboration with artist Ruben Pellejero, with whom he made most of his oeuvre. Together, they produced 'Le Poignard d'Istambul' (1986), 'Ennemis Communs' (1988), 'Caraïbes' (1990) and in 1994, 'Le Prix de Charon'. 'Le Silence de Malka', which appeared in 1996, won the Prix Oeucuménique Angoulême 97. In 2000, Jorge Zentner published the series 'Replay', with artist David Sala. Together with Lorenzo Mattotti, he created 'La bRuit du Givre' in 2003.
