Braulio Rodríguez Ferrán, who signed with Bayo, was born in Lugo, Galiza. In 1954, he and Adolfo Buylla formed the first team to draw comics based on the science fiction radio serial 'Diego Valor' for Editorial Cid (scripts by Jarber). He then illustrated several installments of the 'Guillermo' series in Chicos, in alternation with José Bielsa and Carlos Laffond. Bayo was furthermore the artist of Toray's 'Atome Kid' comic. In the 1960s he illustrated a couple of issues of 'El Caballero Sir Audaz' for Andaluza.
