Shaka Bontaro was a Japanese mangaka. He was present in Nakamura Shoten's 1933 anthology 'Nakumara Manga Library', that contained children's comics. He was noted for his 1934 manga starring 'Mickey Mouse'. The story, called 'Mikkii no katsuyaku' ('Mickey's Show') was not licensed by Disney, but still stays faithful to it's North-American example. Although largely forgotten, Bontaro's comics have been a big inspiration for Osamu Tezuka.
