Boulet is a French artist of humorous comics. He was one of the first French cartoonists to become famous by publishing comics on a weblog, starting in July 2004.
Early life and career
Born as Gilles Roussel in Meaux, he studied art first in Dijon and then at the Graduate School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg, where he graduated in 2000. He is from the same graduation year as Erwann Surcouf, Lisa Mandel, Lucie Albon, Reno and Nicolas Wild. His work was noticed by comic book artist Zep, who introduced him in the pages of the new comic magazine Tchô! in 1998. His first claim to fame was the fantasy humor comic about the little dragon 'Raghnarok', which was published book format by Glénat from 2001 to 2009. His other Tchô! features were also collected in books, such as 'La Rubrique Scientifique' (2002-2005), 'Le Miya' (2005) and 'Womoks' (with art by Reno, 2001-2004). Boulet has also made occasional appearances in Psikopat and Spirou.

Bouletcorp weblog
Boulet launched his weblog, Bouletcorp.com, in July 2004 and the comics he posted quickly gained a wide internet following. The comics from his blog are published in print in the series 'Notes' since 2008. He is one of the initiators of the annual Comics Blog Festival in Paris, of which the first edition was held in 2005. In 2006, he co-founded the collective blog Chicou-Chicou with Domitille Collardey, Olivier Tallac and Aude Picault, and the group was later joined by Lisa Mandel, Erwann Surcouf and Ohm. The blog was terminated in 2008, after which Delcourt released a book with the published comics. Boulet's is also very active on Twitter, and Glénat even went as far as to collect his tweets in book format in 2012.

Later comics work
Boulet succeeded Lewis Trondheim on the comic series 'Donjon Zénith', and made the two final books of the series from scripts by Trondheim and Joann Sfar in 2006 and 2007. He has furthermore written the graphic novel 'La Page Blanche' for Pénélope Bagieu at Delcourt in 2011. Boulet also participated in several collective projects, such as 'Boule de Neige' (Delcourt, 2007), 'Papier' (Delcourt, 2014), 'Axolot' (Delcourt, 2014) and 'Le jour où ça bascule' (Les Humanoïdes Associés, 2015). He made the illustrations for the children's book 'Augie and the Green Knight' by the American author Zach Weiner, which was published after a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2014.
