Nicolas Wild is a globetrotting artist, known for his comics journalism about Central Asia. He was born in the Alsace region as the son of a pastor. He was educated at the Arts Deco workshop in Strasbourg, and graduated in the same year as Boulet, Erwann Surcouf, Lisa Mandel, Lucie Albon and Reno. With Boulet and Albon, he made the comic 'Le Voeu de Marc', about a boy whose every wish comes true, which was published by La Boîte à Bulles in 2005. His strip 'Le Bourreau' was published in Les Oiseaux de Pasage. He had his breakthrough with 'Kaboul Disco', an autobiographical account of his trip to post-war Afghanistan. It was published in two books by La Boîte à Bulles in 2007 and 2008. His next book, 'Ainsi Se Tut Zarathoustra' (La Boîte à Bulles, 2013), covers his stay in Iran. The book won the prize for best comic report or current affairs comic, issued by the radio station France Info in 2014.
