Sergio Garrido is a former Spanish comic artist. Affiliated with Studio Comicup in Barcelona, he has drawn 'Tom & Jerry' comics for the Scandinavian market, and was a regular artist for the Disney weekly Donald Duck and the girls' magazine Tina in the Netherlands. Sergio Garrido the comic artist should not be confused with the Madrid-based art director/3D artist Sergio Garrido (AKA Sergio Garry) or the cartoonist/comic art researcher Sergio Arredondo Garrido.
Studio Comicup
Around the mid-2000s, Sergio Garrido was one of the younger artists working for José Canovas's Studio Comicup in Barcelona. Among his first jobs was drawing stories with Warner Bros's 'Tom & Jerry' for the Swedish publisher Schibsted Förlagen.
Disney comics
By 2008, Garrido was assigned to Comicup's production of Disney comics for the Dutch publisher Sanoma. During his first year, he was mainly drawing stories for the new Donald Duck Junior magazine, written by Dutch editors such as Jos Beekman, Ferdi Felderhof and Bas Schuddeboom. Later, he also worked for the regular Donald Duck weekly, drawing mainly stories with Donald Duck and his family, as well as the first Netherlands-produced story with the baby deer 'Bambi'. Besides comics, Garrido also drew for editorial pages, for instance the section with educational pages from the Junior Woodchucks Guidebook.

Nick en Simon
In 2010 and 2011, Garrido was also involved in the celebrity comic feature about Dutch singers 'Nick en Simon', appearing in the Dutch girls' magazine Tina. Often working from lay-outs by Carmen Pérez, he provided artwork for many of the early stories, scripted by Ruud Straatman and Thom Roep. Later on, most of the 'Nick en Simon' stories were drawn by either Carmen Pérez or Rafa Ruiz. In 2012, Garrido left Comicup to pursue other work. In the mid-2010s, he briefly returned to doing Disney comics, working on a handful of new stories for both Sanoma and the Danish publisher Egmont.
