Kathryn LeMieux started her career in comics in the 1980s, contributing to alternative comic books such as Wimmen's Comix. Between January 2000 and April 2009, she was one of the original six female comic artists who make the newspaper strip 'Six Chix', together with Isabella Bannerman, Margaret Shulock, Rina Piccolo, Ann Telnaes and Stephanie Piro. Each woman drew the strip on a different day (Kathryn had the Fridays) and they alternated on Sundays.
LeMieux has also created her own newspaper strip, 'Feral West', from 1994 to 2005 and draws 'Miss Adventures in Dating', written by Matt Tolbert. She lives in Tomales, California, and is also active with oil painting and surreal digital imagery.
