Six Chix, by Stephanie Piro

Stephanie Piro was born in New York and studied at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. She started her Strip T's Design Company in 1984, marketing her T-shirt collection. She is one of the six female comic artists who make the newspaper strip 'Six Chix'. Each woman draws the strip on a different day (Stephanie on Saturdays) and they alternate on Sundays. The other original members are Isabella Bannerman, Margaret Shulock, Rina Piccolo, Kathryn LeMieux and Ann Telnaes.

Stephanie Piro also makes a daily cartoon panel called 'Fair Game', which appears in newspapers throughout the USA. It was originally called 'Smile', when it first began its run in the Rochest Times in 1994. Piro's work has been collected in 'Men! Ha!', 'Caffeinated Cartoons' and 'My Cat Loves Me Naked', and featured in American Greetings cards, Tidemark Calendars, Papyrus, First for Women, Chronicle Of Higher Education, Glamour Magazine, Ms., the Funny Times, the Women's Glibber line of women's humor anthologies.
