José Maria Millet Lopez was born in 1949 in El Masnou, and was a jeweler before he turned to comics. He has done the artwork of 'Die Biene Maja' ('Maya the Bee') for the German publisher Bastei in the late 1970s. Associated with the Tello studios, he has drawn for the Danish Disney publisher Egmont since 1984. He has illustrated various 'Donald Duck' stories, as well as 'Mad Madam Mim' and the 'Beagle Boys' for Anders And & Co. Besides being a comic artist, he is also a painter.
