Bucky Bug (W WDC73-03)
Vivie Risto, an artist of Finnish origins, was a funny animal artist at Dell/Western from 1942 to 1964. His Disney credits include a couple of stories starring 'Donald Duck', but his main output were 'Bucky Bug' stories.
He also worked with Warner Bros characters (Tex Avery's 'Bugs Bunny' and 'Elmer Fudd', Bob Clampett's 'Beaky Buzzard' and Bob McKimson's 'Henery Hawk'), Walter Lantz characters ('Homer Pigeon', 'Chilly Willy'), MGM characters ('Wuff the Prairie Dog') and Hanna-Barbera characters ('Flintstones', 'Snooper & Blabber'). In addition to his comics work, Vivie Risto has been an animator at Fleischer, Terrytoons, Warner Bros and Hanna-Barbera.
