Horacio Saavedra was a successful Argentine comics artist, best known for his contributions to Patoruzito, Warner Bros and Disney comics. He learned the finer points of the profession from Dante Quinterno, and he created hundreds of pages for Quinterno's Correrías de Patoruzito. In the 1980s and 1990s, he was a versatile artist for the international publications of Warner Bros and Walt Disney through the Jaime Diaz Studio. He illustrated stories with the 'Looney Tunes', 'Bugs Bunny' and 'Daffy Duck'. His Disney output includes stories with 'Donald Duck', as well as stories with TV characters like 'Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers', 'Duck Tales' and 'Talespin'. He founded the SB Pruducciones studios together with his brother Oscar Saavedra, and cooperated on several animation projects. He is sometimes referred to as Héctor Saavedra.
