Thomas Langedijk was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in 1980. He is a Rietveld Academy graduate in fine arts, who has published most of his comics online. He was the editor and driving force behind the Insanity fanzine (1996-98) and the now-defunct online magazine CUTIE (Comics for Girls). He also contributed to the 1990's fanzines Impuls and Intelligent using pseudonyms like Tommy A and Bow de Jong.
His best known comic is the autobiographical series 'Een hondenleven', that he has published online and in two self-published comic books (2005 and 2012). In 2015, he published 'De Sprookjes van Prins Kat', a comic loosely based on the Grimm fairy tales, through Strip2000. Langedijk is the originator of the Dutch online message board for comic authors and co-founder of the Dutch federation of Dutch comic artists BNS.
In April 2017, Tommy A participated in Wasco's art project at the WGKunst Gallery in Amsterdam. He and nine other artists worked side by side, both collectively and solo, on the creation of monsters and other gruesome and weird creatures. The result was several paintings, murals, collage artworks, illustrations and comic strips, which were on exhibit at the gallery afterwards. An overview magazine was published as well. The other participating artists were Ge Wasco, Anne Stalinski, Jeroen Funke, Merel Barends, Peter de Wit, René Windig, Dace Sietina, Lae Schäfer and Eliane Gerrits.
