Irving Tripp was a staff artist at Dell Publishing from 1941 to 1982. He did inks on MGM's 'Tom and Jerry' and Warner Bros's 'Bugs Bunny'. His main work was on the 'Little Lulu' comic in cooperation with John Stanley that appeared under the Western and Gold Key labels. For Disney, he illustrated 'The Reluctant Dragon', and 'Baby Weems', as well as stories with 'Dumbo'. For United Features, he drew 'Nancy and Sluggo'. Tripp has also illustrated some 'Big Little Books' at Whitman in the 1940s. Tripp, who was also called Bud, served during World War II in the Philippines with the US Army. He passed away in Haines City, Florida from cancer and heart disease.
