Franky Snow by Eric Buche
'Franky Snow'.

Eric Buchshacher made his first comics for several fanzines after his studies in fine arts. Because he found his last name too unpronounceable, he chose the pseudonym Buche. He was inspired by his military service to create his first long story: 'Carapaces'. This comic, about a young pacifistic and philosophical soldier, was published at Essai.

Buchshacher continued with two stories of the series 'Hélène Cartier', with scripts by Christian Perrissin, for Humanos. After several illustrations, posters and advertising illustrations, Buch turned to realistic comics in 1997. That year he created the first volume of the 'Enquêtes de Vincent Muraz'. At the same time, Buche cooperates on the magazine Tcho! with the humorous series 'Franky Snow'. For that same magazine, he made a series of popstar parodies, called 'Starniouzes'.

Together with 20 other comic artists (Zep, Ptiluc, Frank Margerin, Yslaire, Cosey, Philippe Vuillemin, Milo Manara, Loustal, Gilbert Shelton, Max Cabanes, Dupuy & Berberian, François Boucq, Gérald Poussin, Thomas Ott, Frank Pé, Frank Le Gall, Riff Reb's, Enrico Marini and Valott) he illustrated a record single for the project '20 Vraies Fausses Pochettes De Disque Par 20 Vrais Dessinateurs de BD' (1995). Buche chose for 'Live at Nyon' by Miles Davis.
