Susie Sunshine, by Earl Hurd

Earl Hurd was a pioneer in animation, and the patented inventor of cel animation. He worked at the Bray Studios from 1915 to 1918, and at the Paul Terry Studio, before working through his own Earl Hurd Productions from 1923 to 1925. He worked as a storyman for the Iwerks and Disney studios during the 1930s. As for his comics work, Hurd drew the comic strip 'Trials of Elder Mouse' between 1911 and 1915, 'Brick Bodkin's Pa' in 1912 and 'Susie Sunshine' from 1927 to 1929.
