Moacir Rodrigues Soares was one of the main artists of Brazilian Disney comics. He began his career with the publishing house Taika, working on comic books like 'Targo' and 'Zhor'. He also worked on licensed Marvel and DC titles for publishers like Ebal and Gep.
Rodrigues began his cooperation with Editorial Abril in the early 1970s, and he has drawn comics with most of the Disney characters until the studio's closed down in 2000.
In addition to his work for Abril, he also worked for the American studio's, that distributed comics to foreign Disney publications. He was involved in the creation of the 'Disney Babies', a series that was a big hit in France, when Claude Marin began the comic book series. His brother Irineu Rodrigues Soares was also an artist for Disney Brazil.
