Xavi Martin Sancho is a Spanish artist of Disney comics for the Danish publishing group Egmont since 2016.

Life and career
Xavi Martin Sancho was born in 1978, and studied Architecture in Barcelona, as well as in Stockholm, Sweden. While attending Barcelona's Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura del Vallès, he also contributed to the student comic magazine La Revista (1999-2000). Since 2006, he has been working as an architectural draughtsman in the Barcelona area, and he has also been hosting drawing workshops for kids and adults in Vilasar de Mar, Catalonia. In 2014, he was a background artist for the animated TV show 'Four Friends and a Half' by PinkApple Media Digital.

During the 2010s, he attended the Joso School for Comics and Visual Arts in Barcelona, where he took part in a course in Disney art organized by the Danish publishing house Egmont Creative. By 2016 Martin was selected by Egmont's art director Fernando Guëll to draw comic stories for its Disney production division. The course brought forth a new wave of freelance Spanish Disney artists, which also included Diego Bernardo Álvarez, Cynthia Campanario Pineda, Joan Crexells Aparicio, Sebastián Puñales and Lourdes Rueda Sala.

Martin's first 'Donald Duck' story was published in Scandinavia in August 2016, and since then the stories he drew have been distributed to Disney licensees all over Europe, as well as Indonesia and China. He has worked on stories with members of the Duck family, as well as the Beagle Boys. Since 2022, Xavi Martin has also worked directly for Disney Publishing Worldwide in Milan, drawing stories for syndication to the several licensees.
